Figure once a concept car is shown, wait 18-24 months for a production version to come to market. We have a while to wait before competition from Honda.

Nah you're right, I think that's a fair point. I probably should have said "relatively" cheap (as compared against the sport-luxury brands -- BMW, Porsche, etc.; or for instance, against the average price of a car in America, which I believe is about $30k now )

compared to those 'high rollers"? yes! i would say you are right "relatively"
cheap!.it is probably one of the best values on the market, but it isn't exactly cheap, not at 25 k a copy it's not!.. it's STILL a "reach" for a lot of people!..just sayin' |

After my 97Itr on spoonsw388s i didnt think i would ever be happier, that thing was a beast, and way ahead of its time, but it needed another 15k worth of goodies till i was happy and i realized it would be better spent on a supra project and a downpayment for an frs.... I couldnt be happier although i still hold a small hope for a honda comeback....

Even if Honda began a new RWD sports car project tomorrow, you wouldn't see a car available on lots for 28-36 months...don't hold your breath

Honda doesn't need to build another s2000, they make more $$ selling accords and civics. |

Of all the "typical sedans/hatchbacks", it's frustrating to know that a Mazda3 is more fun than a Honda Civic to drive. The Altima is quickly catching up to the Accord, even though the latest model Accord has surprisingly accurate steering for a "beige" sedan, and the automatic transmission will hold its revs just for that extra couple tenths of a second before shifting.
