Thanks for the updated info. Always appreciate your input!!
I went to a dealership in RI yesterday to trade my FRS in for a BRZ. I knew there were none in stock in NE but wanted to see how aggressive they would be in locating one/appraising my FRS. Turns out they weren't. The closest BRZ they could locate in the color I wanted was in New Jersey and understandably they weren't willing to negotiate too much on the price considering it wasn't sitting on their lot. The numbers didn't work out so I walked but its a shame that there are loads of FRS's on lots in the area and ZERO BRZ's.

Yep I read a story on this, think it was Car and Driver or R&T. They said everyone who wanted one bought one, I don't buy it (no pun intended), there's new drivers popping up all the time who want to change to an amazing handling rwd car. Keep in mind the article said there were about 3-4x more FRS' available than BRZ's

My dealership in the Bay Area is eager to move them off the lots. I've seen Some go from a little over invoice to below invoice.

Deals are usually dependent on your area and time of the month/year. Like others have said, some dealerships are more willing to deal near the end of the month (if they are close to their sales goal).
For example, some dealers in NorCal aren't willing to deal if inventory in the area is low. Right now, there are about 84 BRZs (57 Ltd, 27 Prem) within a 30 mi range. Narrowing down to color, I have about 27 Ltd CWPs in the same range. So, it's likely if they can't move the brzs, you can find a deal.
Just keep shopping/emailing dealers. It doesn't cost you anything (except time) and you aren't obligated to buy.

NE doesn't have them, and I've got 11 on my lot that aren't moving.

I am just north of Dallas, our dealership has historically done pretty good selling them (I sell them pretty far back of invoice). But I have noticed that the sales have declined the last couple of months.

I had a customer come in to trade in his STI last night - looking for a cheaper payment (lease) and a fun car

I thought for SURE he would take a BRZ, but he opted for a Forester instead.

He said he couldn't get passed the low hp???

But could justify the utility of the Forester.
