Either way it seems to “protect” the engine from harmonics better then stock which seems beneficial if you are modded. Stock I think is 5.1lbs?

The DSS driveshaft is 2.75” diameter 12.1lbs, havnt found stock driveshaft specs from looking at it today (forgot to measure it...) it looks 2.75” for 2/3rds then the joint then 3” for 1/3rd of the driveshaft and 24.2lbs?

Assuming a 200 crank hp 170 whp 15% drivetrain loss. What % if any of that is the driveshaft and does lightening it reduce the loss?
The fluidampr has an inner ring suspended in a silicon fluid. It's a fluid damper rather than a semisolid damper. My guess is they don't count that inner disk as rotating weight as a marketing thing, even though the viscous forces would likely cause it to rotate anyway. I haven't looked at it too closely.

Not going to try and guess gains, especially since it's 1:45 am here and waaaaay past my bedtime lol. I'll get you real math-like numbers later.

Is that pansexual because I've heard that word thrown around recently? I think I'm pansexual and I don't care who knows.

You should try a salt slab instead.

Has the crank pulley not changed for the MY17? If so, does Fluidampr have one for the facelift cars?

Haven't heard of crank pulley being among changes. 99% sure that old pulley will still fit. ATIs one seems more interesting to me though, as it's also underdriving/smaller diameter. So less power spent on turning accessories, yet more dampening then solid lightweight alu ones.

For underdriving the peripherals (e.g., alternator, water pump) you need larger diameter pulleys, not smaller ones.

This is incorrect. The crank pulley being smaller means the other components spin at lesser RPM compared to engine rpm.

It's kind of like when you are stirring a pot of freshly made stew. The fluid is all rotational and physics-y, but all you care about is the soft chopped up potatoes, carrots, and beef. They add variables to the rotational mass right? I mean, they add mass regardless because the beef and veggies are converted to energy which is then either expended or stored in the body. But then it's sooooo tasty. But if you don't use a wooden spoon it's just not the same. Oh and fluid dampers help, right?

I consider the fluidampr to be a preventivive mod, like oil cooler, baffle plate, fuel door etc.

This is not how you do it. You keep the crank pulley same size and change the size of the other pulleys. You want different underdrive ratios per component. You might also need to not underdrive certain components. For example, I underdrive the alternator and not the water/coolant pump. You also need larger pulleys and not smaller. Let's not misinform people.
