Considering the current future of performance cars and transmissions is automated manuals with transmission control logic brains, that'd be a mistake.

Regardless of all the bashing (including mine), it IS good to see you here! While I am sure you can't spill the beans on exactly what features you are looking to implement on the twins, is it safe to assume that in future revisions we will see the feature gap between the twins and the GTR narrow a bit?

To be fair us auto guys had to eat the cost of the RnD so you could have autoblip flatfoot shifting, launch control ect. There's no difference.

We can't even raise the rev limit since the trans disengages. Something that could be fixed if they spent a little time with it.

If they had done the work and then spread the cost out to everyone it would be just as easy to say the manual drivers are being overcharged because of the extra R&D required for the automatic. It's a bummer for sure but it also is just the reality. I don't know what percentage of their market is auto, but I doubt it would be cost effective to spread the extra cost of TCM R&D around only those customers or even how they would manage that.

I have been trolling this thread. Not too sure what could be added that would make a huge difference to the end user/driver?

but why? wouldn't that be a lot more fun if you were shifting? i'm not saying it's a terrible experience to drive an auto on the track, i'm sure it's a lot of fun. the manual is just faster, and more fun. i can't see the logic in buying an auto for that purpose.

Doesn't the GTR have a Dual Clutch Transmission? If so, while paddle shifted, it's not an automatic.
