Airbag light reset after airbag replacement?
The side curtain and seat airbags and driver’s seat belt tensioner were deployed in my lava car. I’m looking for a replacement seat, then I’ll have all he parts I need to put it back together.
Once I replace those safety parts, do I have to pay the dealer to reset the airbag light? Or is there a home solution? Thanks in advance for any info. Ps I have an ecutek; if that can be used to reset the light, let me know! |

If the bags are deployed, you have to replace the airbag control unit - it cannot be reset after deployment. Resetting only works if there was a fault in the system that was unrelated to deployment.
