Lol you know I asked that same question but on the 86 forum above because I was hoping that it does it like on a Lexus. So far we don't know if either car will do it .

I too love my sti sweep, shift light/beep, and way the gauges are bright during the day. Also the adjustable headlights are neat. |

The Corolla also does this, as do other products in the Toyota line-up.
Surely there must be some start-up video showing gauges, no? Jeff

I hope it does the full sweep at start up also. I know its a stupid little thing, but I still want it. I believe some of the lower level subaru do it, because I am pretty sure I saw a video of the new Impreza start up and it did a full sweep. So the BRZ should do it too!

IRRC, I used to own a '05 tC and it did that. Maybe these cars will too...not that big of a deal for me but it does have a tiny aesthetic factor.

The gauge sweep is on the base Impreza and WRX, and i'm pretty sure its on the Legacy as well. No clue about the Forester...
I agree, its totally useless, but its such a nice little detail.:happy0180: Actually, I wonder, since people say that Subaru and Toyota scope these forums, maybe we can start a petition or something... |

It isn't as impressive as the STi gauge sweep or the aftermarket gauge sweeps (in say a Defi or a Prosport gauge)
But my dad's 2011 Corolla LE does a sweep on startup. I don't see why one of the AS1 cars wouldn't...

I hate the sweep on my defis. Start the car, then it does the sweep.. it's so awesome not to have oil pressure info right after startup. You can select between two methods but neither remove the stupid sweep.

Are you sure you have it wired correctly? It should sweep when you turn on ignition, not when the car is running.

A better option would just be for Defi to allow you to turn off the stupid sweep (which adds absolutely nothing to the performance, accuracy, etc of the gauge) as an option through the controller, then it wouldn't matter. I also wish they'd let you turn off the red ring around the gauges (advance cr) and dim the gauges too.
