If the road conditions are ideal and you're hitting the limits where the nannies are intervening on your driver inputs, I don't think you are driving safe for public roads

This car is the first I ever owned with nanny aid, when I picked up the car from dealership the delivery person specifically pointed to the traction control and told me if the days are warm, you should turn this off. For one second I thought maybe this saves gas as the computer won't need to calculate anything... Then about a week of driving with them off I realized I drive like a nanny anyways the comp won't need to think of anything

I feel confident in my driving, I believe. I never had any altercations with sliding into anyone, or anything. And plus, who said anything about sliding. I feel comfortable driving without it. So, I don't see any problems. =)

You do realize that if you're not sliding, you're disabling the nannies for no reason... right?

They don't intervene to slow you down, they just keep the car on the heading it should be on if it starts to slide.

If you haven't played with the car above it's limits with nannies fully off in a controlled situation, you REALLY shouldn't be driving it on the street with the nannies off. The last place you want to learn how to control a slide is in an emergency situation.

No offence or disrespect to your valid points, but can we please keep this on topic and not turn this thread into a shit-storm?

Take the bickering to PM's.

Looks like 6C and Sunny in Barrie on Sunday. So the drive that far north shouldn't be too bad. Hopefully it will dry up/thaw by then

I haven't had any issues today with driveability...nor last night, driving home from work at 11:45pm when it was close to freezing. And I'm on the stock tires.

Mind you if it's any more than damp outside, I keep the "nannies" on full...

Sunday should be fine. I'm just hoping it's dry.

I was actually just thinking of buying Formula 3000 and spray myself when I change my tires. I probably wouldn't be able to get the interior though, but should be okay? New cars are decently protected 4-6 year terms now (except Mazda3).

Rust-proofing experiment someone did with off the counter rust proof spray cans.
