Do I need hub centering rings for my new wheels?
I’ve searched around already but can’t find a solid source for information. I purchased a set of Enkei PF05s which have a 75mm center bore. Other wheels I have purchased in the past have come with the centering rings but these do not, and I’m not finding centering rings in the exact 75mm->56.1mm size I need. TIA!

You don't NEED them, as the lug nuts are tapered to center the wheels. I would suggest them if you're doing anything other than daily driving (i.e. AutoX, Track days, etc.), or for peace of mind.

I literally just put brand new ts10 rims on yesterday, and for some reason I had to remove 3 of the hub rings for the wheels to go on, and I'm positive I had the correct size rings. only one wheel fit on with a ring. you might as well get them, if they dont go on with them, oh well, if they do, even better.

Need? - no.
However, if your wheels are on/off relatively often they are a quality of life luxury as it makes putting your wheels on easier and your lug nuts have less centering work to do.

Yes you do. The lugs - while self centering and tapered - locate on a threaded feature, which have way looser tolerances than that hub surface.

on one stud yes, but snugging all 5 down together centers the wheel it right up. it's a little slower to install but I promise, it works.

You do not.
They are nice for taking stress off of your lugs and studs on initial tightening. |

You don't need it but you should unless you are the only person who will remove/install your wheels and you know what you're doing.
I just got my new 86 ten days ago and the dealership took care of installing my own wheels prior to the delivery. They didn't want my rings because, "they are useless". I ended up having huge vibrations over 100km/h because they screwed up the install (no pun intended). No big deal but it can't happen with some rings. They are so cheap, it's a no brainer... |

Even with rings or hubcentric wheels you should be doing that since they can be off center rotationally still.
