Okay. So none of your suggestions worked. I guess I’m going to have to call the dealer. Thanks for your help/suggestions though.

Curious, you ever use your key to open your Amazon packages?

I have used this for a long time. Motorcycle guys use it to basically inject into cables to clean and lubricate.

So, you weren't able to get the back of the back seat down to access the trunk ....??

I've had experienced a situation where someone used their key to spit the tape to open packages. Glue and junk gets on the key, then they put it in the lock with the gunk on it and gum up the lock. Don't use your keys to open packages.

Hello lorip713 ........ here your post is .......

Now, unless you are over 65 ...... you can't claim a senior moment ...... that leaves you with a brain fart.

Anyway, my latest thinking is that (a poster) is right and something is jammed in the latch mechanism (like a twig from the plants you bought).

If you can't figure a way to unlatch the back seat from the inside, Bubba suggests you take a coat hangar and see if you can snake it up there to free the latch.

Of course, Bubba really wants to take a crow bar to it ...... but, I stopped him.

Keep us posted.

Polaris is long gone. OP, water from any NJ river is a good lube.

@lorip713

@Leonardo may have your answer
"There are buttons on the top of the rear seat. pry up the small bezel around one, and then pull up on the button, the rear seat will flop forward. there is an awesome 1 min video on youtube, but im having trouble finding it..."

I just checked and if you pull up on the two red lock indicators it should unlatch the seat. I can't put my seat back up at the moment due to some stuff in my trunk but the indicators do open the latches. Just need two people with some needle nose pliers.

Y'all are terrible at giving good advice, lol! Put away the coat hangars... and the needle nose pliers. It isn't that complicated. See that trim piece that surrounds that red lock indicator? It pulls right off. Just grab it from the back, and yank it off. Then you have unfettered access to that lock indicator to pull it up and release the latch. Then just snap the trim piece back on. Boom. Done. Move along.
