So it seems the final word on these is that you can get a square setup, 18x7.5 +35, but will still have to have a staggered tire size. Sounds like if they were +45 there wouldn't be a problem.

So 18x7.5 +35 wheels with 215/40R18 in front and 225/40R18 in back tires with no rubbing.

Now, I plan on running the trd springs which is a ~1"drop. Will they work with the above setup, or will I have to stagger the wheel size 7/7.5 for the drop fitment?

Also looks like $970 shipped from that one site, anyone seen them cheaper? Think my dealer would match that price $242.50/wheel?

I'm curious about these questions too if anyone has any additional input.

If we go staggered setup, as apparently recommended by Toyota/TRD, can we rotate the tires side-to-side at least? Or that will depend on the tires?

I'm just going with what the setup comes as. Got the springs on and it's low enough that I don't really care about having 7.5 all around, would rather just not with the hassle.

Anyone have any input on going going 18x7 (215/40 R18) all around? This would seem to make most sense from a tire rotation standpoint.

Just a quick heads up for you guys that looking for 7.5 all around with 225/40/R18

IT ACTUALLY WORKS!

which means no rubbing at all. I'm running 225/40/R18 with 7.5 TRD wheels and H&R lowering spring, so now I can rotate them!

What's the drop on those springs?

Are you also pretty flush to the fender? No spacers right?

So if I were to run all 7.5 and 225/40/18 with no lowering springs it would still be good?

It would appear that we're getting conflicting reports of rubbing with 7.5" square, both with first hand experience and photo proof. (see quote below and photos)

1. Would there be any reason why this would work on the the Suburu but not the Scion?

2. Does the offset look weird, like they stick out further in the front vs. the back or is that just the angle of the photo?

3. What tires? I'm trying to do research and find decent all season tires for the TRD whee, but I'm not having much luck yet.

Thanks!

Don't know anything bout it working on the Subaru
You don't notice offset. Well at least I don't
My all season tires are on my stock rims. I have Mich pilot super sport on my TRD rims

Thanks for the information.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you're on 18x7.5 square, but you had to go from 225/40R18 in the front to 215/40R18 in the front because you noticed rubbing?

Toyota recommended...
Front
Wheel: 18"x7.0"
Tire: 215/40R18
Rear
Wheel: 18"x7.5"
Tire: 225/40R18

Speeeddemon99 has...
Front
Wheel: 18"x7.5"
Tire: 215/40R18
Rear
Wheel: 18"x7.5"
Tire: 225/40R18

JM9ISM has...
Front
Wheel: 18"x7.5"
Tire: 225/40R18
Rear
Wheel: 18"x7.5"
Tire: 225/40R18

Does this look right everyone?

I wonder why it rubs for one car but not another car? Anyone have any additional information or insight to help us all out?

possibly the brand of tire installed. each manufacturer varies a bit even though the tire size is the same "size"
