Depends what your goals are. MOST people that I've seen on this forum get around 250whp with the kit on pump gas. For around 5k it matches in price with a lot of the base turbo kits and comes down to what the user wants.

Personally I think our FA20 engines have more potential with the turbo route, but if it's your daily driver and you cannot stand turbo lag, then the SC is a viable option.

Kit starts at $3900ish FYI

That's without a tune or MAP sensor. Full kit is $5600. It's also smart to buy a header if you want to see any decent gains which can range from 500-1500 USD.

It isn't my daily driver and I don't mind turbo lag. My goal is to get 300 whp which I heard is possible with a fuel pump, exhaust, e85 tune and injectors.

300whp with a turbo/SC on e85 with proper tuning is very easy to hit. Anything above 350-400whp+ the turbo starts to become the better FI route IMO

If you have easy acess to e85 the smaller pulley and a good header you could see 300whp+. At the phastek dyno meet a guy did 320ish on the stock pulley on e85. With the smaller pulley he would of gotten another 10-20.

Listen to the kimosabe. Along with the quoted 5.6k minimum, you would likely want to improve brakes, suspension, and get a new set of wheels and tires, which is probably another 4k if done properly to handle the almost double whp. For me the answer is no.

Have you considered maxing out your skill on the existing platform at autox and going from there?

I wish I had money money to just blow and not price things/speak to people... Lol because you can get the kit, install it yourself, map sensor, with ecutek tuned less than 5k.

To the original poster, I can give you a contact if you want to buy the kit with ecutek license/cable, injectors, fuel pump, map sensor, and upgraded pulley kit for $5000 shipped.

You guys are out your minds.

Frsmod is a vendor on here or at least used to be, pretty sure they still are...(dynosty). Also, keep in mind everyone likes to make a better living quicker then the next person.
