AOS/catch can?

Does anyone make (and has anyone installed) an AOS or an oil catch can on a 2nd gen BRZ?

I put a Crawford AOS on my 2019, was wondering if there’s an equivalent for the 2nd gen car.

Thanks!

Don't risk engine warranty for something that won't be an issue, car has port + direct injection.

Say that to Subaru dealership if you need warranty work on engine and they denied. Get a lawyer, tell them all about Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act and how you making modifications to engines intake system didn't affect engine.

Are you having a case of the Monday's?

Subaru could also just "void your warranty" () because you have black hair, or wore a gray shirt when you took your car in that day, or just because they feel like it.

lol, yes me having black hairs is same as making changes to engine's intake system, let me know what you are smoking, seems like good stuff. Just call your dealership or SOA now and ask them if they would take warranty claim on engine if you have catch can installed.

Anyways what's the point of having catch can on these? The engine has port injection along side direct injection.

unless your lawyers are salary, your experience isn't going to be any different.

Interesting read, thanks for sharing. Oddly enough I never came across that.

Do you think you need an AOS and/or catch can? My ‘17 has been only car of several I have streeted and tracked that used practically no oil over 5k miles + 4 to 6 track days between oil changes, hoping the ‘23 is similar!

It wasn't out of concern of oil usage that I was thinking of an AOS. It was because of the potential for carbon build-up on the intake valves in a direct injection engine. I didn't realize the 2nd gen 2.4 engine in the BRZ was both direct and port injected.

I believe the 1st gen 2.0 BRZ engine is only direct injected, which is why I put a Crawford AOS on it.

1st-gen was also both direct- and port-injected!
