Upgraded fuel pump with stock injectors?

Hi guys, haven't been in here for awhile. It's time for me to replace my fuel filter, and I figured i might as well upgrade the pump whilst at it. However, is it possible to run a slightly bigger pump (i.e. DW65c) whilst still retaining stock injectors?

Theoretically, if a car was tuned with stock pump and injectors, will upgrading fuel pump require re-tune?

(I have no intention of getting larger injectors, at least not for the time-being)

I haven't heard any issues with the stock pump.

Stock pump flows enough for around 300whp.

If you are planning boost and E85 then maybe, but that again depends of flow requirements.

I would look at:
1. the reliability of the OEM pump and how much whp it will support on 98 ron and E85.
2. How much flow you will need when you do upgrade

From there I would see what is the best and most reliable solution.

If it's not needed, more money for other required supporting mods, or beer.......my vote is for beer.

If the fuel pressure remains same it should be fine, ie you retain the sandard fuel pressure regulator in tank.

Theirs been a few issues with DW pumps , thte oem pump seems pretty reliable.

The SBD turbo guys seem to prefer the walbro pumps if you were to upgrade..

But doent seem necessary in your case
