Hole Behind Rear Scion Badge On Trunk For Toyota Logo Swap

I'm working on swapping out the scion logo badges, 86 piston side badges & the FR-S badge on my 2013 Scion FRS. I ran across a small stopping point when I was able to remove the rear scion badge but found a random hole in the middle of where the badge would be. It's a pre-made hole that I'm guessing its originally designed that way. It could be an access point for a maintenance hole for the trunk mechanism or maybe for a rear-view camera but I could be wrong. I put my new gloss black Toyota badge but the whole still somewhat shows. I was able to cut a small aluminum tape shape to cover it up but I had the wrong touch-up paint pen for the paint.

Has anybody ran across this situation and have done anything to fix it?

No. Theres an actual hole a bit smaller than a penny the dead center behind the badge. It turns out I did a bit of research and found out that 10 series cars have this because theyre supposed to have a scion badge that lights up and that hole with the cable is the power for it.

Im just figuring out how to patch it and find a way to paint it with the new badges on.

the best solution is to get a replacement trunk garnish.
