It's not the pedal dance. Pedal dance, if I can remember correctly, retains ABS and shuts everything else off.
I mean the button in Ecutek does fit my needs when I'm on the track and in my opinion WAY easier to initiate rather than to do that up down left right cha cha slide bullshit. It's just a bummer to not have ABS, but I deal with it. Without that button, I would be overheating my rear brakes from traction control constantly trying to "catch me" from spinning out even though I was in complete control. Since I am also turbo'd, it probably doesn't help that fact. Pressing the button in Ecutek gets the job done for me though.

Necro revival - if you use the ECU Connect app for the bluetooth dongle DO NOT update the app to 3.9.3 on android. It no longer connects to the bluetooth dongle except as a generic device. If you completely remove the app, forget the bluetooth connection and when the app first launches say Forgot Code you can go through the full pairing again and it will work UNTIL you try to start a datalog, at which point it will crash.

It has its own app and you can set up gauges like the torque app has. What feature of torque are you looking for? If you just want to run torque there are Bluetooth modules available for under $30. |

Oh yeah, I know. The EcuTek app is excellent. I just want Torque app so I can see my gauges on my headunit when I drive.

Even if you are jailbroken or can mirror your phone, the app doesn't support landscape mode so the gauges look funky on the headunit. I'm doing that at the moment, and even though it works, it's so clunky and everything looks weird. |
