... unless you're using Chrome 47.0.2526.106, apparently! (It didn't work in previous versions of Chrome.)
It could even work well in other browsers too, I'm using Firefox.
I haven't tested this anywhere else, it's not my software :-)
I maintain that there's an encoding problem. One that Chrome is bypassing. Good for Chrome users :-)

Nice setup!
I have a fully operational Commodore 64 with cassette deck and that same floppy drive, was my pride and joy from 1983 and many years after.
I must admit I don't use it much any more, though.

I did have one similar to that but it went to the curb for garbage pick up several years ago. Strangely enough nobody took it and it actually went into the truck.

This happens to me as well sometimes. Just believe it might be a glitch in the system. Sucks for those who wants to edit their build posts:/

This is obviously an encoding problem, and should be an easy fix for the guys with the source code.
I have also stated that such problems were common before UTF-8 came along more than 20 years ago, but these days any web software should take any language and character in stride.
Looks like it's a browser problem, I'm using Opera 34 which is chrome-based and I can quote/edit special characters just fine.
I tried it also with the MS Edge browser (Win10/64-bit) and I can quote/edit posts with special chars without any problems.
With FireFox 43 it's just an empty space.

I don't think I've ever seen a question gone unanswered in here.
What usually happens, is that there are tens or hundreds of answers to every question.
And those answers tend to distribute into the following categories:
1. You're a complete moron for even asking!
2. Totalled/that'll rub right out!
3. Learn to drive!
4. I haven't bothered to read the question or the umpteen pages of answers, but here's my very strong opinion on something not related:

And something else I've noticed is that no one ever reads to the end of a long post. To prove this point I have now mentioned a car damaged in a dynamite incident at the end of 3 long posts and no one has ever asked me about it. So I try to keep it short when I want to be heard.

All valid.
And I did in fact read about the dynamite thing at least once (contrary to popular opinion I do not read every single post or thread here) but figured if you were going to elaborate then you would have.

Yeah, I intentionally refrained from asking but screw it. I'm already on all the lists.

A few years back I wanted to play with my old apple stuff (I had TWO apple II+s)
When none of the floppy disks would load (the older magnetic stuff gets corrupted with age) I got pissed off and threw both of the apples in the trash.
Since I figured "where will I EVER find the software for this stuff again" I also threw away 1 Commodore 64 mint, still in original packaging, and a Mac 64.

Who feels stupid NOW?
At least I still have my entire Comics Collection that I started in the 70s...
Didnt throw THAT out
