What I was saying was the replacement rings linked below are more expensive than replacement one piece rotors, but then again, I am not finding one piece or two piece rotors on their website that are for their BBKs. I just see these replacement rings and some other rotors, but they don't look the same as the ones in their kits. I dunno.

https://www.rr-racing.com/BRZ-FR-S-F...gt86fbr002.htm

RR Racing doesn't appear to sell two piece rotors outside of their kits. I believe they mention being able to upgrade the Stage II kit to a Stage IV kit in the future, but I couldn't find the two piece rotors for sale.

I see that now.
They used to have stage 1 and 2 replacement rotors, 3 and 4 rotor upgrade, along with ring replacements on their site. Now that I look at the site it seems to have changed along with products. Strange, maybe an email could net us some more info on this as I doubt they have eyes on this forum still

Where did you buy your pads? I don’t know where to buy or what size to get these for my setup, but I’ll look forward to your review.

I also didn’t find rotor upgrades on RR Racing’s website. I thought the steel rotors could be upgraded to two piece rotors, but the one piece rotors listed seem to be cheaper than the replacement discs for the two piece, which seems odd.
Yeah I've seen people complain about squeal on the BP10 & 20 (can personally attest to the latter), but all the reviews I've seen for the Polymatrix Q say they are quiet at the expense of firmness/initial bite. I can live with that tradeoff for street driving.

I bought them at Kartek. Which RR racing kit do you have?

Yea I’m hoping they work out for you. What are you going to do with your setup...swap to knew rotors with these pads or turn your rotors or sand them yourself or just hope the new pads bed well?

The latter. With a little water and a week of street driving, the BP20's seem to naturally scrape all the transfer layer off the rotors. I can tell because that's when they start to get pretty loud on the street. I'll just swap pads at that point.

BTW if you do want to match rotors with your pads, search for front 2004 STI blanks (5x100) on Tire Rack. The Centric ones are $82 for a set of 2.

I have a TON of squeak with DTC60s. I did not have this issue with the OEM calipers and DTC60s.

This track in the link is not very demanding on brakes but they sound like this at Watkins Glen as well. My thought is the increase in rotor size results a large increase in thermal capacity so the pads don't get to temp. The squeak doesn't bother me but I am going to try a different pad next year.

IMO the BP pads are terrible. I got my kit with BP-20s and my OEM calipers with DTC60s out performed them by a large margin. I don't recommend DTC60s for the street but I recommend trying another pad compound for all of you guys getting squeak on the street.

I have the Stage 2 up front and the sports in the rear. I don’t even know if EBC has sizes for those or where to buy them.
No, and i think it's wrong to compare different experiences without a context (brand new rotors? Used rotors? Was the rotors turned prior to swap? Was the rotor cleaned or with old pads residue on the surface? Which pads were used before?...)

A lot of fixed calipers seem to cause more pad noise than floating calipers, in my experience.

Your results wouldn't be surprising on many curvy/slow tracks. While fixed calipers can have better and more consistent clamping force, the real advantage of aftermarket calipers (which are often larger along with larger rotors) are larger pads, and just like larger calipers and rotors help with heat management, so do larger pads. Better pads on the OEM calipers/rotors could perform better until heat management becomes a problem. Even then, performance could still be better, but someone could be burning through sets of expensive pads, and/or chewing through sets of rotors much more often. Sometimes BBKs are about a cost savings across a season more than they are about a performance improvement.

I believe it is fixed along with the larger size of every component. Porsche made a video for their customers:

Where did you buy these? Did they get rid of the q
squeak? My BP-20s drive me nuts on the street. They seem to have solid performance just low speed breaking noise drive me nuts.

I haven't put them on yet due to work and Thanksgiving, but should get to it this weekend. I'll post up a review afterwards.

I got them them from Kartek Off-Road in Corona, CA.

With you 100% about the squeal with the BP-20's haha.
