Last Friday while getting ready to wash my week old series 2.0 I noticed several ever so small concave depressions at the junction of the left rear fender crease.

Called the dealer, message never got to the sales manager. Went Monday, talked to the manger. He said, they had a guy on call that just does small dings and dents on new cars. The guy called me 1/2 hour later and we agreed to meet on the new car lot today at 11:00AM.

I show up,he takes a look and says to do it, he'll have to drill a small hole in the door jamb. He said ,don't worry it will be fine and the bare metal hole will be coated with heavy protectant and plugged with a rubber plug. All this conversation in front of sales manager--good to have a witness--he agreed to make good any problem.

So I tell the guy to have at it and walk over to the paint shop to ask them what they recommend for polish on my new car. For home use they like Meguires products for looks and Nu-Finish for longevity.--Who Knew?

I get back 20 minutes later, job done to perfection. I couldn't detect anything at all and the black rubber plug looks as it was part of the car from the factory. I go home with a perfect car/under warranty and I'm a happy camper!!!

Sup guys

Today I put back my winter wheels on my frs and when I took off my rpf1 (summer wheels) I noticed that the sticky weights fell off one my my wheels

I see the markings of the old sticky weights that used to be there and I remember exactly how much goes there ( 1.25oz)

I happen to have a few sticky weights laying around my tool box

If I put the same amount of stick on weights at the same place , you guys think it's a good idea?

Thanks

It's not the worst idea but getting it rebalanced professionally isn't exactly expensive either. I'd probably go pro or leave it off just so I don't have to mess with adhesive

Thank you for the reply man

I was actually working in a tire shop before so I know how to deal with adhesive ...just didn't feel like bringing the wheel all the way to a garage if I can do it quickly at home

Thanks again

Np. I've had weights get knocked off before and I didn't notice any vibration but if you knew exactly what one to put on and how I guess I don't see a reason not to

Well, I hit a big ass deer last night. Front bumper was damaged pretty bad, hood was wrinkled, passenger headlight was destroyed and passenger side fender was bent to the point I could barely open the door. I couldn't pop the hood to see if there was any engine damage, but didn't see anything wrong with my intercooler or radiator. My airbag deployed as well, as I hit the deer while going 70 mph. The car should be going to the shop Monday to see what the damages are. :/

I don't have any pictures since it was dark, and I was too disoriented and pissed off.

If you worked in a tyre shop before couldn't you have answered your own question?

It could be worse, you could be the deer.

Noooo! At least you are okay. I've seen these deer impacts result in some bad injuries to drivers...
