Ya, just wait until next year if the different trim packages come out and everybody that thought they were going to get full trim Toyotas for monospec Scion prices start to scream. It should be a blast to watch.

I feel like the lowest I've seen the JDM airbag go for is $500-600. I know that shipping those things can be a PITA too. Some people go as far as scrubbing off the Scion logo on their headunits too. And buying Toyota keyfobs, and floor mats. This car is looking more like a bargain every day. |

Exactly I don't mind the 800 dollar increase since now you get the authentic Toyota badge and hell we finally get DRL LED sorry to those still running stock headlights its a freaking disgrace that Scion botched up and gave us those weak projectors and that boring non LED DRL. Those DRL LED is what screams Toyota 86.

New front fascia is ugly. Can't get used to it. Everything else is cool.

Not really,
Keep in mind these are CDN prices. Toyota Front + Rear badge $40.00 86 Steering Wheel Emblem $60.00 Toyota Wheel Center Caps $100.00 Removal of Scion logo from the Audio Deck $0.00 $200.00CDN Total for me. I think the 86 steering wheel emblem looks superb. I would never pay $500.00+ for the authentic one. Way too much money when you can have this for much less and still look good free image uploader

What about your floormats, keyfob, trunk mat, and owners manual? You would also need to include the price of the "Toyota" and "GT86" badge that go on the bottom of the trunk. Not everyone likes the look of those airbag covers either... |

Floors mats I don't really care since my feet go there and it says FRS. I just removed Scion in places I see it on a daily basis. Minus the Key....i still need that Toyota Key fob cover. Manual I don't keep in the car so I don't care about the book. Regarding the Toyota/GT86 badges. The Japanese spec doesn't come with those badges so I guess it depends on what your going after. print screen

It currently sits dead on at 100 yen / 1 USD; a 20% increase in purchase power against the yen from when the car was first released in the states. It never effected the MSRP in a positive note for us buyers. In fact, it kept going up every MY. The little 'updates' and 'tweaks' over those MYs certainly didn't offset such a purchasing power increase You could also look at the '16 BRZ vs. '17 BRZ MSRP's (Premium), for what is essentially the same car as the FR-S/86 respectively. The BRZ's went up exactly $100, or 0.004%. 2016 - $25,395 2017 - $25,495 Last edited by OldSkoolToys; 08-22-2016 at 07:04 PM. |

Not that it really matters since anybody using badge change to justify the increase misses the point that paying that much more before was all on them and did not increase the value of an FRS by one cent.
