Clunk/Pop in front drivers side end while reversing

Hey I have a 2015 Scion FRS on lowering springs that has been running pretty well until lately. The front end drivers side emits a loud clunking noise while in reverse with the steering wheel turned. It happens alot when its a cold start but also occurs while warm. Any ideas if its sway bars or an axle? Thanks!

Well there are no axles in the front, so it's probably not that.

My guess would be stabilizer bar end link.

When it happens, does it happen repeatedly? While you're rotation the steering wheel? or while you're rolling with the wheel turned?

If you can post a video it would help.

I'd search the Suspension forum.

Are your lug nuts torqued to spec (always good to start simple)?

The tie rod ends are notorious for going out (thought that's typically more of a creaking sound while actually turning the wheel).

Could be the shock tower tops which are also problem children (though you normally hear them over very small bumps like expansion joints or road reflectors at low speed).

I'm having this exact same problem on my 13 right now on the front right. Looking to just replace the OEM sway links, but then it got me wondering if it is advised to go aftermarket after lowering to change the length. I've also read that the rubber bushings on the away bar brackets need lubrication but they are a major pain in the ass to bolt back in.

I just had this issue, my car is lowered on Tein Flex Z's. It showed up after the winter so I thought it was coil bind, or possibly end links. Both of those turned out to be non-issues and everything was fine.

For me, it was one of my underbody panels was slightly loose and I guess as the chassis flexed when the wheel moved at low speeds, it caused it to sort of skip/pop on the exposed thread of the bolt. Tightened all my underbody panels up and the noise has not returned since.

My symptoms were a loud popping from the front right when turning the wheel left or right while stationary, or at speeds below 10 km/h

why is his and my valvetrain so loud (end of the video). Mine did not sound like this before the recall. I tend to do agree with the previous poster they are not adjusting the valves optimally on these while performing the recall.

Not sure if it's the same, but the symptoms seem similar.

I had the same issue on my 13. But it went away after the j2 recall. I am guessing something was loose under the hood. Don't know exactly what it was.
