Thanks Zaku. Man it looks so much better than the 86 refresh.

@ichitaka05

IMHO it looks the same ....which isn't bad... But it doesn't really excite me as much as the 86. Still it's nice I like how it's closer now to Subaru 2017 design language and line up.

I have to agree Zaku! Thanks for all your updates

Thanks Zaku. It's a nice and simple refresh. Just enough to bring in new owners who are still looking at a BRZ like myself. I guess the only worry now is the interior.

From the other shots I think the interior will be very close to a WRX, and Subaru will be more leather and the Toyota will be more Suade and Alcantara not a lot of carbon bits, it might actually seems more plain. We will see, I liked the 86 a lot when I was in it at NYIAS, the interior are large improvements. My concern is the BRZ may bet more tech and like before more trims.

I like the face lift on the BRZ more than the Toyota counterpart. It's not as radical but you can still tell it's been updated.

Hopefully a better (and larger) touchscreen is in the cards cause the unit in the series hyperblue i drove was ancient lol

Seems like it'll stay that way for the rest of the twins' lifespan though sometimes i wish both had trim levels.

It would be best with new BRZ facelift exterior and new 86 interior trim.

Thanks for the spy shot. I really do hope a closer look is given at wicked big meet. One question, could you tell if the car had fog lights? There is something there hiding in the blurriness but I can't make it out.

The spy shots showed the front of a white brz with the new look but I believe the interior shot showed a stock that still had a fog light switch.

Toyota already made a formal statement that although the 17s will remain monospec they will be "looking at" different trim levels after that. There is some hope that the North American market will see better versions by the 18 MY 86s. Hang in there.

All you have to do to get better trim levels is buy a Subaru. It's not that bad. Come to the dark side.

If the new front bumper is all that the 86 has when I go to trade in 3 more years I will be in a BRZ in a heartbeat. The (unofficial) pictures of the upgraded BRZ look 1,000 times better than the monstrosity that they are calling the 86. There is not a hope in hell that I could walk out and see that droppy nosed, melted looking angry dragon 86 front end everyday and not get angry myself. I know some people say it has "grown on the" but I don't want the appearance of my car to be something I have to get used to. The new BRZ nose however is just a nice refinement of what it was and it isn't trying to pretend it is something that it is not.
