2.3-3.0 I shift, best mpg imo. Cruise control around 2.7-3k rpm.

For me its usually at 2.5-3k rpm for normal driving..

But i try to drive the car hard couple of times every day so i rev at 6.5-7.2k rpm, not great for gas mpg but whatever.. makes me happy.

I cruise @ 3.5k most of the time. So I'm never in torque dip. 👻

Jebus, another resurrected thread...

Winter time, I shift at 2k/2.5k. Summer time, I shift 2.5k/3k. Fun driving, depends on the situation.

I put it in the highest gear that will provide me the torque I need without labouring or over-reving the engine.

So sometimes it's the red line, sometimes it's 3k sometimes 4k, sometimes it's 2k

Cruising, ie. maintaining speed only, the highest gear that won't labour the engine at a constant speed. The cut offs for that are about:

25mph 4th
30mph 5th
35mph 6th

Which put you between 1.5k and 2k.

I generally like zippy drives so this means shift points north of 4500.

Sometimes I drive "Zippy ++" which means redline shifts.

Traffic and weather conditions impact these driving styles

Depends on the situation. Where I live there is no pressure to accelerate hard because everyone drives reasonably so I am usually shifting at 2800rpm. If I am first in line at a light I shift at 3500 to give the guy behind me space in case he wants to speed around me. If I am alone on the road 2300 rpm and accelerate as slow as I want. If I have an open on-ramp and I am first in line I will red line it every time just because the car is what it is. 33.7 mpg indicated and in my testing with my fuel app as well as the old fashioned method, mine reads accurately.

Often times I have hills to my advantage so when I say I shift at 2300 I am not going as slow as it sounds. I don't lug my engine around either, if I want to accelerate I will down shift. (Not that lugging has been an issue with the FA20)
