Eh sorry I read my post again and sounded like a douche a bit. Just though that unless different batch, all paint should be pretty much the same..

The newer wrb on wrx's are called "wrb pearl". Older generations of the wrx's are much lighter color than the newer gens. GD's had much more yellow to the blue...and GR's are much darker tone.

I would say the brz's are much closer to the GD wrb.

I originally pre ordered the Black BRZ but after I did some research and saw some pictures online of the WRB, I immediately went into the dealership and changed my order. I love the WRB, I wouldn't go back. The only other color I would consider would be the Silver or White. No black, because almost everyone owns a black car- not trying to add to the populous. To each their own.

Like with any colour, if kept clean, waxed, and with proper care... Any colour will look stunning! I break more necks with people turning heads when the car is freshly washed compared to dirty...

Now, unfortunately I won't be able to help you make your decision about which colour to get but all I can say is that it was either SWP or WRB for me...
I choose which ever came into the dealer first at the time. But remember, no matter which colour you choose in the end, it'll look equally sexy!

Here are some pics with it freshly bathed... No enhancements or filters to the photos.

I just got some touch-up paint for the BRZ and he needed my VIN since he said he was seeing two different products for the WRB BRZ. It says "WR Blue Pearl"

I almost ordered old 02C touchup paint on Amazon but was worried it wouldn't match

I have about 30 chips to touch up this weekend. 5 minutes after leaving the dealership today, saw a rock fly up, hit my hood then my windshield.

Michigan just sucks

click my build link in pink and scroll I have lots of photos, same car different lighting situations, always different outcomes. But it's a color I have always LOVED.
This is my second wrb. I wouldn't have any other color. But as a photographer I will say the dark metallic grey is stunning in direct sunlight.

^ Looks great!

Dealer called today and said that my BRZ's color changed from WR Blue Mica to WR Blue Pearl so I guess it will be 2015 model.. Any ideas how those colors differ IRL? Google's image search returns some random pics of old and new Subarus..

Would appreciate any input from WRB owners on tips to get that really vibrant/shiny/dark WRB look, I was a little put off by it at the dealer and I've been leaning more towards SWP ever since.
I definitely believe lighting/ wax makes a difference. I picked mine up from the dealer and it had a very dark blue hue to it and just looked kind of dull. When I first washed/ waxed it when the snow melted away it has a very bright, sparkly color that I fell even more in love with. That's my take, it even made my Firestorm FR-S look like a liquid red instead of a bright red

The color has always been WRB Pearl. WRB Mica is.an old Impreza color.
