All the fun fighting concept about DoA went to shit. It freaking freeze each every rounds. Online lag like some kind of dial up Internet or BS. Chara fighting system is total bias & if opponent choose Rig or Brad, you're fucked. Counter became so damn technical mind as well forget bout it, cuz some counter only counter punch, but not kicks? They totally fucked up Virtual Fighter chara voices.

I can keep typing all the BS bout this game. Currently this game is EQUALLY low as SoulCalibur 5... which is lowest fighting game that came out recent yrs.
I didn't get any freezing on it yet.

The fighting system is still kinda biased. So yeah choosing fighters that have good counters (wrestling background) is lame and difficult to get by. I used to get by them with Hayabusa, but that hasn't worked out for me at the moment. I'm switching back to Ayane and Brad Wong and see if that might change things. The first thing that bugged me was the characters speak English than Japanese. Other than that I still like it.

Which system did you buy this game for? PS3 or xbox? I've PS3 ver and when I played it yesterday, I was going nuts from freezing.

You can always change the voice to Japanese. I've Japanese voice to English letters, so my friends can read the letters without asking me where's VS mode lol

I have the Xbox version and thanks for the tip, I'll be making that adjustment as soon as get home.

Oh, I've PS3... maybe that's why you don't have freeze problem vs me

Well, just like SCV, DoA5 box will get dusty before week... time to go back to TTTT

That's a bummer. Does Tekken have a counter system too? I haven't played that series since the old PSX days.

Most chara has "parry" (like Jin), but some chara actually do have "counter" (like Anna & Nina).

TTTT is one of my fav Tekken series they ever made. Of course there are some cons, but nothing that makes me complain out loud about

I may give it a go by the time it hits the holiday sales rack. I never got sucked into the story, I did like the various amount of fighters they had though.

Well then Tag is good place to start. It's a tag, so there's no actual story other than they're having tag team tournament lol

"Evil always thinks it's doing good in its own twisted way. But not this evil; this was something entirely different. The Obelisk was a misanthropic machine of hatred, control, and semi-infinite power. He wasn't breaking free from the cage of some anthropological torment or avenging the death of someone he lost-- he was motivated only by the verisimilitude of absolved human corruption. Unlikely it seemed, that a human infected with a strain of The Obelisk could stop the perfected nihilistic entity of the distilled incarnation." - William B. Hendriks, White Rook II: Dawn of the Accolade

My synchros are pretty stubborn, car is showing its age.

A poem i wrote for my book a couple years ago when i first started:

Pivotal Puzzles

We are bombarded by baffling puzzle pieces of wisdom,
In order to regulate our misempathetic disincentives.

It’s grown virtually impossible to explain our actions,
And our actions must explain ostensibly impossible growth as a whole.

But instead, we bury ourselves and broaden our regrets,
Lying to our dearest, hurting whoever we must.

And so, we fear reaching the top,
Because we’ve grown to love the feeling of rising.

We’re losing track of who we are;
A sentient project, set loose and viral.

With the potential for good,
But the encrypted codex of a malevolent existence.

Then again, everything can correct itself,
Through the providence and purity of innovative expression.

The originality of self,
Infused with the diversity of mind; only limited by expectation.

To follow the guidelines of expression,
Is to not honestly express.

Expression is the instinctive gift of connecting the basic puzzle pieces of empathy,
Into the celestial magnificence of humankind’s embodiment of it’s potential for good
