Catless header exhaust smell?

Hello everyone,

I'm currently running a berm technology high flow cat front pipe and was wondering how bad the exhaust smell would get if I decide to go with a catless header set up. I would love to make it louder and gain as much hp as possible but would preferably like to avoid the fumes. Any suggestions?

It's not bad, but there is definitely a smell. If any increase will bother you then you are stuck getting a catted header.

I run the JDL UEL and the catted front pipe and I can notice it. I love the sound it makes and the trade off was well worth it for me, but if you are looking for no smell then stick with the catted setup.

Really? I am running a straight pipe on my other car and the dump tube on my wastegate exits right under the pass side of my car. Never smell anything while I am in the cabin.

The only time you'll smell the odor is when backing up normally and yes it is eye watering strong if you smell it long enough.

Looks like I'll be going catted then. Ft86 and hks are the only ones making those right?

I don't smell anything with a JDL catless UEL, OP, and front pipe inside the car. Idle in a fairly enclosed area with the window down? Yeah, a little bit. It's not terrible though. Even people that have followed me have not smelled anything unless I go WOT.

Same here. Catless JDL UEL with JDL catted FP. Don't notice any particular exhaust smell when I'm running on 93.

OP, you could always burn the corn juice if you're concerned. That stuff generally smells better

I have a revworks catless header with a motive catted front pipe, there is no real noticeable "catless" smell that I can tell.

Please run at least one cat. I've been behind someone with a Nameless header and catless exhaust on a drive and it was disgusting. It was making my eyes burn and giving me a headache, I had to roll up my windows.
