OFT to Ecutek
Hi all,
I feel like I've exhausted myself searching the internet for hours on this subject, guess it's time to stop being a lurker and ask for some help! I've seen in the past on other posts that apparently people can open and edit non OFT roms in RomRaider. I'm familiar with RomRaider and how it works (I think so anyways ) and I can open/edit all my old tune files just fine in it! However, as soon as I open anything with Ecutek, its uneditable with romraider. And since OFT has the 'racerom features' I can not just flash the OFT tune using Ecutek. I can't seem to be able to compare roms/images in Ecutek either! (probably just lack of how to) My latest thought was to open my .ori file from the OFT and do a compare file in rr, but since it seems I opened it in Ecutek (didn't save it or anything, just a quick peek), the file throws corrupted errors if I try to open it in RR. Any help or guidance from anyone who likes a good challenge would be greatly appreciated. |

You won't ever open a ecutek saved file with romraider, ecutek adds patches to it as soon as you save it
Also, compare feature is available only to accredited Master Tuner So you can't compare them, you only can compare tunes by opening EACH table and see the differences If you tune your car with ecutek, you must start from a stock rom provided by ProEcu (help -- ecutek update -- Update rom files... and find your Cal ID) and you have to forget about romraider |

Thanks, I appreciate the information. Off the top of your head, do you happen to know what maps are modified?
Just comparing stage 1 to stage 2, I see a total of 11 tables are changed. If its unknown, I'm going to go through all maps one by one tonight, just curious! |

If you are using OTS maps th3n just open them with romraider to see the differences with a stock map opened too, and the apply the changes to ecutek tune

Having the EcuTek compare function has it's benefits but only for Tuner dongles

Open it in Romraider and compare to your current RomRaider/OFT tune. Copy all changes over to the stock unmodified tune - save it. Open this new tune with ProECU and you have an Ecutek tune to work from there. As Kodename47 said, there is no issues opening a stock tune (with or without modified tables) in ProECU. Only problem is opening tunes that have hacks applied - like calid hacks/LC/FFS etc.

From what I can tell, this may be impossible. My definitions aren't compatible in RR. The OFT definition throws my .ori file into a tailspin (to be expected). Can't seem to find any stock defs/roms for a ZA1JF40C. (damn you rs 2.0!!) I'm 100% sure I'm somehow making this harder for myself. BUT IT FEELS SO CLOSE! |

mostly, f40c oft tune is a hacked b01c or something similar
you could then treat your car like it has a b01c, modify that tune (you will find a vanilla b01c here on the forum) and then force ecutek to flash it |
