Rear Seats?

Do you think this will be an option for the FT-86? Personally I would like just a 2 seater! I have an FD3S RX-7 and I know in Japan they made some models that had back seats. Looking at the FT-86 it looks almost as if it has the same leg room (pretty tight fit). I would never use them anyways, it is just my girlfriend and I that usually drive in my car AND if I ever have kids I would either get another car or just save the FT-86 for a weekend car. I guess I could just strip them out, but that would be kind of a waste considering it would be a brand new car. Hoping for a 2 seater!

Not likely dude. I mean what would they put in that open space if they were to delete the back seats? I feel the same way as you as wanting a two seater, but i think we will just have to wait for another car for a roadster.

You have back seats in your FD? Did you order them from the JDM model? How does anyone fit back there?

I welcome the 2+2 since I pick up my kids after school. The back seat is just big enough to fit my 4 year old and my 11 year old girls...keep the back seats or i'll have to look elsewhere for a car

Like my car, instead of back seats they put bins in their place. Its not exactly the best place to store things, but I dont think it looks tacky at all. It looks like the car was made to look like that.

I'm guessing strictly 2+2,.... the track edition might have a seat delete option? or no rears at all?

I would hope it will be available as a two seater like my old CRX. If it's a four seater perhaps the rear seats could be configured like the rear seats of a 911. If it comes out as it configured now that will also be o.k.

+1
As much as I want performance, picking up chicks is one place utility > performance.

Isn't the insurance cheaper with back seats?

My mk3's crowning moment was when I got the call to go pick up 4 drunk girls at a local house party off campus, my freshman year in college.

3 crammed in the back, 1 in the front.

@stevens: Yes, 2+2's, for the majority, have lower insurance rates than strict 2 seaters.
