So now I guess I'm going to start posting videos on YouTube as well as Instagram and I can't help but wonder when I have to start finding myself insufferable... This all still feels weird to me because I'm an introvert that generally dislikes social media, but I'm enjoying it? I dunno. I'm still trying to figure it out, but interacting with people has been pretty fun and a couple of companies have even asked me for reviews, which is awesome because I can't believe people actually care about my opinion.

The upside was when I started instructing on courses, I never put my troops through that kind of idiocy. instead I wore my black watch cap with pride in the field while the CSM tore into me for all my unissued kit. If that’s not a positive influence, I don’t know what is.

Reminds me of back in the old Army, while stationed in Germany. We could wear Baumholder jackets (the tankers called them Graf parkas), which were non government issue.

A soldier could take a military poncho, an Army blanket and a piece of camo parachute to a German tailor and for 40 marks ($10) he would make you a warm, weatherproof jacket with a hood. The parachute was used to line the hood so the wool army blanket wouldn't irritate your head.

Although that piece of clothing was not Army issue, the command didn't say anything, since it was made of all military materials.

(no, that's not me in the picture, a good soldier never put his hands in his pockets)

If the queen didn’t want my hands in my pockets, then why would she have hand sewn the CAF’s uniforms to have pockets on every piece of issued kit?

Did a thing today. Seat is definitely more comfortable than the stock one, but not by enough that I would suggest anyone spend the money if they weren't having issues like I was. Using the instructions on this forum to jump out the airbag worked perfectly, so no warning light on the dash. The install itself was easy, as was moving the belt buckle from one seat to the other. Although I did have to run out to the hardware store and pick up a bolt, nut, and some washers to fasten it to the new base. I also ended up running the seat belt through the hole for the harness since it was rubbing up against my neck without a shoulder fastener.

Overall very happy with it, and once my bank account recovers from holiday travel, gifts, and this seat, I'll replace the passenger side as well.

Their existence prevents the redundancy of the rule.

Oh, I was referring to a US Army soldier of back in the day.

I suspect I know why your Queen had pockets put in your uniforms pants pockets -
