Went to the dentist today. The hygienist was cute. She also apologized for getting my face all wet when she backsprayed it 'accidentally' with the water pick thingy.

They want me in for a laser gum tissue removal thing, because apparently when they did a deep cleaning earlier this year it caused some gum tissue to die and it's not coming off by itself as well, given the time since that procedure.

I'm sort of okay with it but at the same time when they had me do the deep cleaning they basically forced it on me when my previous dentist never had to do more than the usual annual cleaning. They never said I might need to come in for a laser removal if the tissue didn't do its thing on its own. :|

Yeah, that's pretty much the take-away.

And every part of that post was true.

Reminds me, I need to go see our new dentist for a cleaning and x-rays. Best deal I could find for dental is an in-house insurance plan with a dentist down the street. Roughly $600 a year for me, my wife and son, and includes 2 cleanings, X-Rays, and exams each year, and 20% off any other work. I figure it is better than the $400/ month for a 70/30 plan with Delta Dental.

My wife went last week. She said everything in the office is state of the art, then you look out the window and there are cows grazing.

Oh well, mine didn't start out like a Penthouse letter.

I went yesterday....to have a root canal done again on a tooth that had a root canal already done once...

Worse part, 15 years ago it was done the first time, but the idiot missed and did the wrong tooth (x-rays flipped backward..)

So I have now had 2 root canal done to a tooth that never needed one in the first place......and it is killing me to eat lunch right now.......

next week......

I was sitting in my backyard and all of a sudden heard a familiar sound. Looked up just as a bunch of US F-15s flew over. They were followed by a B-52, a C-5, an A-10, and what looked to be a F-35. Is there something you Americans need to tell us?

All of a sudden the ricer Civic noises where nothing for about 10 minutes.

We're getting the F-35s in Vermont starting this week. Blughhhh. They're offering to pay us for sound deadening in our homes or to re-locate if we're close to an airport.

Need that twitter if you want to know who to ask this week. I heard we were attacking Lichtenstein because they've been slacking on their obligations.

Or maybe it's just a parade.
