Yeah I have the blue one too. I'm not a fan. There are connectors right next to the bulbs, but I haven't bothered disconnecting them yet. Looks like you just need to peel the foam tape off of them and pull apart the connection.

Yeah I saw that too. Doing just that leaves the main harness still behind the head unit/HVAC controls. I'd rather just get it all out of there if I'm gonna do it. I hate having harnesses/wiring that's leftover that doesn't do anything. It's a mind fuck to me, haha. Damn my OCD.
