He chose the best of both worlds! The Cayman S is agile and small like a BRZ but powerful like a 335i when it comes to horsepower. This is the main reason I like the Cayman. I don't like the rear end styling though and the side profile of the rear end.

I would just love to drive it and return it to the owner afterwards. I would never want a high maintenance cost on a car even though I'm a car enthusiast. Well if I was a rich bastard I wouldn't mind..lol

2 years and/or up to 100k miles.

This is my fifth 2-seater and the previous ones were 91 MR-2 Turbo, 99 Z3 Convertible, 04 Miata, and 07 Z4 Coupe. I also had 06 G35 Coupe, 07 330cic convertible, and 08 VW GTI. All these cars were acquired during the last 18 (I'm only 40 yrs old) years and I'm not even counting in what my wife have/had and my motorcycles ranging from scooter, standard, and sport.
Looking back and I say I've had a very exciting mix of fun cars and motorcycles. I look forward to acquiring a BRZ down the road but I notice that me and my wife are buying now instead of leasing so the turnover will be slower from now on.

I was in that position before I bought my BRZ. I have owned a E90 M3, E90 335i and a E92 328i. I loved my 335i and seriously considered buying another. I plan on keeping this car a while so leasing was out. I also like having a warranty and the BRZ is more fun to drive then all but the M3.

The Cayman is definitely a great choice. I also liked the Boxter's handling but hated the way it looked.

Those newer 335i's don't even come with Limited Slip Differential... They're open and welded so you can't change it. You gotta get an M3 to properly track a 3er.

You can def. change the differential in 335/135's. Look up e90post.com

Not happy about the 86's 55/45 weight distribution, but you could put 200 lb. of ballast in the trunk and have ~50/50 and still be about 700 lb. lighter-weight than the 335! Of course that 200 lb. would only slow you down...
