I thought I had smacked my rocker panel up bad...but that my friend takes the cake. I didn't get any pictures of mine because I was quite angry because I did it the day I bought the car, However it wasn't that bad and closer to the rear and I opted to repair rather than replace and it was close to $1200, And mine is silver not with the pearl paint to match...best of luck!

Just get a set of those "ground effect" type of rocker panel cladding. You'll never see it. Wait, that'll cost as much as the repair... nevermind.

Light metals yes but anything short of 1/4 inch steel would have taken damage by the looks of that.

Just for reference this cost $1,200:

Apparently it may be worth our while to drive to wherever Spit is located!

For what it's worth, labor rates are usually lower in MD than many other states so the other guys numbers look normal as well

Had a similar rocker panel owie on my car. Not as big of a push in but still sucked. Dented the rocker panel and pinched the metal crease line of the body work further up the car.

Had Paintless Dent Removal (PDR) cost me 400 bucks. 95% as good as new. Almost impossible to know there was anything there.

Tcoat is right on the money, if you want this fixed by a body shop it will cost a hefty amount. I also agree with his assessment, even in a vehicle with tougher metal, looking at that hit even a fullsize pickup truck rocker panel would exhibit a good deal of damage. I send a lot of our fleet vehicles to be repaired for rocker damage and if I saw damage of this degree I expect the repair bill to be on the higher side.

Can you get rattle cans in Lava? My dealer said they could not. I have a scrap on the bottom/side of my front bumper I would love to slap some paint on.

Well, yes, @Tcoat.......

[ame="http://www.amazon.com/Scion-Metallic-Aerosol-Touch-Paint/dp/B00AVPIS0S"]Amazon.com: 2013 Scion FR-S H8R Hot Lava Metallic Aerosol Touch Up Paint 12 oz!: Automotive[/ame]

Just use vodka to take the old wax off; scuff it up a bit with a wire brush; make and drink two martinis, with some of the vodka; spray on paint until it drips off; have another martini; take a nap; cut dried drips off with a razor blade.

Then, just like the advice given to a tight rope walker or a man getting a XX from an old lady ....... just don't look down ......

That is exactly my plan except for the $60 spray if I have to order from US. Would like to find some Canadian supplier for only $59.99 if I can.

They don't come from Toyota but yes I can get it. Its not my ideal suggestion when I comes to body work but if you want to get it done cheap and you have the time to do it proper. I believe they retail at about $50 a can

Just want to slap some on since I know it will take a hit again anyway. Got to get down to see it anyway. Was thinking a lip but since it is lowered and an all season driver I don't want to play snowplow anymore that I need too.
I may just get you to order some if I can't get it through one of our U.S. plants cheaper.
