Now without pushing the limit, and conservative tune for reliability....you will be extremely happy with 420 rwhp on a 2950 lbs beast. This already beats the boxster which cost 50k to flirt around with. Not to mention that everything is freaking expensive on a porsche.

After all, to me, fun = cheap = still capable of much more, and not afraid to break it. This is the FRS.

The Boxster? Heck, 420whp and 2950lbs beats anything under $100k

[QUOTE=SnapOv3st3r;932118]I was looking for this vid earlier. Thanks.

Want to see said 500tq dyno plot.[/QUOT

Here you go, these three pulls were made on a dyno in Arizona at UMS Tuning so they are independent of our dyno results. These graphs are at the wheel and if you do the math 450W TQ will give you 550 TQ at the crank which is a bit higher than the 500TQ we stated in the video.

In the video, Quirt Crawford mentioned that clutch was the first to go, what Clutch is in there now?

Perhaps it's the RPS SpeedSport carbon-carbon clutch? Single or Twin?

The clutch that is currently in the car is a custom hybrid made for us by Exedy. Getting a clutch that holds the torque and does not take both legs to push in has been quite the task but they finally got it. It would have been easier with a twin plate clutch but we will not sell a rattly twin plate to our customers who drive their cars on the street.

Email I received after asking about the complete turbo set up.

Thank you for your interest in Crawford Performance. Our full kit comes with everything you need to make the 430 hp and 500 tq and includes the VF36 twin scroll turbo, FMIC, Racing headers w racing heat shield, turbo back exhaust, all the fuel part upgrades, upgraded cooling, our forged low compression rods and pistons, upgraded axles, aos, and upgraded clutch. The full cost for all of these parts is $14,500 and it turn any FR-S or BRZ into a absolute monster. Let me know what other questions you may have.

Honestly, for everything included, that's not really a bad price at all. Now install costs (unless you diy) would be a whole different story.

None of those additions you listed help with keeping the engine itself cool, which is the issue.

I'd love to see the Crawford BRZ on track being driven hard...
Carlos Lago of MT took it to the track and it seemed to overheat there.

The crawford brz has a power to weight ratio that is about the same as a v10 plus audi r8.
