Delicious Flash & GO Tunes for ALL FORCED INDUCTION Applications - Q&A

Delicious Tuning has spent over a year developing what we call our Flash & Go Tunes. The original intention with these tunes was to create a tune that will work on almost any forced induction application including all superchargers to turbo kits running up to 22 pounds of boost currently. We also wanted to incorporate our own technology so we can offer more advance features that are not available in the market currently through your personal Android (phone or head unit) or iPhone.

EcuTeK ProECU Tuning Software (showing custom mapping and speed density tables)

Why would we create something like this?
- We created this so for the main reasons customers expressed to us below:
1. Instant gratification after the forced induction installation is complete
2. There is no access to a local BRZ/FRS/86 tuner
3. There is also no access to a dyno facility for remote tuner
4. Ability to change boost levels without retuning
5. Ability to run FlexFuel with boosted applications
With this in mind we also looked at designing the tune to be as much OEM feeling as possible. We pride ourselves on meeting unrealistic expectations, basically if someone tells us it is not possible we will find a way to make it happen. To meet those levels requested by our customer base we have designed our own standards for the optimal tune.

Delicious Tuning Standards for a Dedicated Daily Driver and/or Fun Weekend Driver:
1. It must start and idle similar or better to an OEM vehicle (auto or manual)
a. Includes 91,92,93,94 octane, 95, 98 RON and E85
b. Includes cold start, warm start and hot restart
c. Includes head lights on/off, AC on/off, Defog or Defrost on/off
d. Includes cold, cool, average, warm and hot conditions
e. Includes elevation changes from sea level to a mile plus above
f. Must be consistent and repeatable
2. It must drive similar or better to an OEM vehicle (auto or manual)
a. Includes stop and go traffic, highway cruising and the average there of
b. Includes 91,92,93,94 octane, 95, 98 RON and E85
c. Includes cold start, warm start and hot restart

Delicious Flash & GO Tunes for ALL FORCED INDUCTION Applications - Q&A

Im really bad with these long reviews and projecting ideas into words but here goes.

I've had two cars done at Delicious tuning and it was spot on.
Car1) map turbo kit gtx3076 3" turbo back catted/resonated
This is my personal car that i beat so hard on 18sh psi daily. I took this car to a drag event and did over 10 back to back pulls in 90+ temps. The car also topped 6th. The tune was on point. The car never complained (tunewise) and ran like a champ

Car2) fa20crap kit 60trim, stock op, test pipe and a q300

What bill did was take my 91 oct map (car1) and put it on this car. Straight away the tune was flawless and even performed way better than the previous tune at wg (previously evasive tuned ). The car was a blast to drive and was the perfect daily on 91

Long story short, i tested this and had a great experience with what bill has to offer. i personally tested the same map on two different cars. The cars barely had anything in common other than a stock block. Obviously a bit of tweaking here in there is a must for optimal performance but Bill knows what he's doing and it works pretty well. Im currently building my block on car1 and should be back for some more crazy power.

So revisions are less needed than other maps? I have a gtx28 right now with a 2.5 vatted exhaust let's say I jump up to a 3 inch catless setup, how much work needs to be done? Let's say I jump up to a gtx35 and more fuel, is it simple to change or is it going to take 30-40 revisions.

By any chance have you tuned a car with a gtx3567? Curious on your thoughts. Thank you for your time

We just finished a turbo install and did a flash and go last night. I can attest to 1. Instant gratification after the forced induction installation is complete. Once our kit was on we flashed and went for a ride. Def put a smile on my face. JDL will be offering Delicious tunes for all our turbo systems

Thanks for making the process so easy Bill

im a bit confused since im no good with technology and new to cars
ive got a kraftwerks kit installed on my baby and its for the most part a DD, and currently tuned to the base tune kraftwerks sends you for 91 gas.

with this, i could reflash my car to say, get better mileage for the winter since im not gonna be going boost in bad weather?
and should a random sunny day appear, i can reflash the car again to boost for 93 gas?

you don't have to keep reflashing, that's what ecutek switchable maps are for. so you could have a map for 91 octane and another for 93.

edit: here's a video from Delicious Tuning showing how it's done.

This tune appeals to me however I don't see any mention of headers in the thread.
Does the tune take them into account?

If I were to apply this tune to a FI motor with Full Blown's 10:1 compression block using their head and cam improvements would it work or would I still need a custom tune?

There would need to be adjustments for ignition timing as the timing values would need to be advanced for the lower compression. But that would be about it. Fueling changes would be very minimal.

We are working on some additional features with our module that would allow and over all timing advance also for lower compression setups. This is in development.

Bill, this sounds like a great option for me. I am looking at getting a Jackson Racing supercharger system.

How would this work if I got the JRC and say a ptuning header? Would you revise the initial tune you send me before I first install it, or get some data from me after I have it running?

One of my main concerns is not having any daily driving driveability issues. Based on your description I should not have any of these issues?

How much for a re-tune later, say if I get a header at a later time?

Also, do your tunes account for cold climate driving, like up here in MN?

Thanks!

Pat
