Filled up last week at $1.67/L CAD. For comparison, lowest octane 87 is around $1.35-$1.45/L these days.

Drive an hour out of town and you can take ~$0.20 off those prices due to the transit levies we have in town.

Petro-Canada Ultra 94 (up to 10% ethanol) was $1.449/L yesterday here at the GTA. Regular was like $1.18/L if I recall.

Used to put 93 Esso, now 94 Petro

Feels a bit better than 91 but that could be just my butt dyno out of alignment. Tried Shell 91 and it feels like driving with the AC on.

How do you know which fuel in your area is the "newest" ? I've never seen a expiration date on gas before.

As for Chevron with tehcron , you can buy techron separately , and add that to a full tank of gas ( 1-2 times per year is great). Chevron here in CA the last 1-2 years, no matter where you go is .10-.20 cents more expensive then Shell.

Wonder if this thread will get shut down, like that Battery thread that got started 2-3 days ago. What a waist of posting… good info!?!?!?

Pick a busy station. Figured that was pretty obvious without explanation but guess not.

Miss-information and urban legend is never "good info".

No thread gets shut down without good reason.

Just don't buy from the weird off-brand station in a strange location that gets so little traffic that you wonder how they are staying in business. They might have bought stale fuel to begin with and then let it sit in the tanks for weeks because nobody's buying it.

If you buy from a station doing business under a reputable brand in a location that gets decent traffic, you'll be fine. You can tell the difference. People make way too big a deal out of what's the "best" fuel.

I've always used the cheapest 93 octane I can find. Just about never top tier. And I've NEVER had crickets. I think additives are what causes crickets. And I'm over 150,000 miles.

If you see a tanker truck there regularly it's likely a good location to buy fuel.

Do you use the hearing assisted headphones when you go to the movie theater or do you just cup your hands behind your ears?

Just checking. My FR-S doesn't have crickets either -
