I've been so close this past week to pulling the trigger on building and boosting the FA20. I know I'll end up regretting that route, can't wait for more on this!

Sell it, Our PnP is going to include the stand alone and will not work with any others.

Finally got one of the big pieces to the puzzle, our custom wiring harness for the 2JZ to our stand alone/ FT86 setup. The harness fits so it's off to get bench tested pin by pin and have a couple connectors added.

Side note for all of those who won't stop giving me crap about the length of the build. It's not easy doing things the right way the first time and being careful about it. The main goal is to make something that will be repeatable and universal to save everyone who buys it time. Sorry for not throwing together something that may or may not work and selling it for ridiculous prices.

We are also fitting an aftermarket manifold per the customers request. My plan was to say stock but he wants to skip right to a big manifold and I'm fine with it because it eliminates a bunch of stuff we don't use or need and hides all the sensors underneath for a super clean bay. The best part about this manifold is the price point. It looks like a $2000 manifold and costs less than $1000 including a fuel rail. Fits with the stock brake boosters!

Stay tuned for more!

Just read through the thread, this looks awesome! Whenever I look at my engine bay I can't help but notice all the extra room around the little 2.0L. It's like they always envisioned a bigger motor in there.

I don't know much about swaps but the first thing that always comes to mind is how do you guys figure out the electronics? I'm guessing most engines have a lot of the same sensors but they're probably in different layouts and not to mention adding extra pistons, etc. Do you end up just using a new ecu with custom software on it?

Love the thread, take as long as you need. Most people are after instant gratification but things take time. If it was easy then we would all be running engine swapped cars. Personally I want to see a cummins 4 cylinder diesel but I could deal with an ls swap. Thanks for the thread.
