Pulled up to a light last night at about 2am. A very nice, new STi pulls up, looks, says "nice FR-S!" I say "thanks man!" He says "fuck yeah!!!" And speeds off.

I get so many SUV wankers cut me off in traffic regardless of traffic or not. I guess they got some handling problems you know?

I always get hate from the Subaru owners in my area but the Scion owners always show me love.

I respect the Scion Owners as they don't act like haters.

Had an old man at 7-11 tell me I had a "sharp looking car", then had a younger guy say he likes my car and yell and point at it for his friend. I got a head nod from a guy in a 90's Civic hatch, and I had a guy with a first gen xB tell me he was admiring it when I parked next to him; then I had a girl who was walking her dog break her neck to look at my car as I passed her lol.

So more approval than dirty looks I guess.

Sunday I got a thumb up through the sunroof of a Tc owner going through the intersection while I was at the stop light.
Only people that mean mug me are people that want to race or have no clue what the car is about. However, that is a rare occasion.

Yep, it's easy for folks (esp in SUVs) to miss this car in their blindspot. Just too low/small.

One thing that's helped is getting a cat-back. It's a bit loud, but I haven't had any close-calls since putting it on.

Dirty looks? AFAIK I've never gotten a dirty look in this car. Have had plenty of approving looks though, and the occasional person asking me a question from their car while stopped at an intersection. Also chatted with people at gas stations when filling up.

I had one funny experience this one time though. I was eating at a McDonalds in North Wilksboro, NC (the sticks) and an off duty employee started asking me questions about my car. First he asked me if it was a new Ford Focus coupe (no such car exists, wtf?). I said no, it's a Subaru BRZ. Then he asked me "how much did that cost, $60-80k?"

I wanted to laugh and be like, how the hell did you go from thinking it was some low level Ford to now some $80k Subaru?! Instead I just told him a little under $30k. Meanwhile, in the background, I heard a guy who owned a 350Z Nismo (saw it in the lot) talking about how fast his car was. Saying it would hit 170 mph and that his 0-60 was around the high 4's. Keep in mind this was a stock vehicle. I did a lot of mental eye rolling and got out of there before I started lol'ing and possibly piss them off.
