Practice 3 Friday 11:00 p.m. on NBC Sports Live Extra
Practice 3 Saturday 12:30 a.m. on NBCSN
Qualifying Saturday 2:00 a.m. on NBCSN
Grand Prix Sunday 12:30 a.m. on NBCSN

Practice on now on NBC's web site...........the engines have more sound than last year.......

If last years engine sound was a 2 on the sound meter, this year is maybe a 5.5 to 6. Not the scream it used to be, but better than last year.

Ricciardo had to change an engine between Practice 1 and 2............

Mercedes still 1 & 2 in practice. Vettel around 5th in the Ferrari.

Only 4 engines this year for the whole season, down from 5 last year.

McLaren only ran 13 laps total in P1.

No Sauber or Marussia cars ran in P1.

The front wing on the Honda-McLaren is HUGE. Looks like a sting ray............crazy...........(may have been a prototype)

Anyone staying up late to watch the race tonight? Lights out at 1am EDT, so I'll be watching live despite having to be up at 6 tomorrow for the AutoX season opener

Nah, gonna DVR it and watch in the morning.

Appears that Mercedes still the team to beat qualifying 1 & 2. Ferrari seems to have improved over the off season qualifying 4 & 5.

Red Bull NOT happy with the Renault engines. They feel there has been no improvement since last year.......Ricciardo Q7

Phillipe Massa Q3.

This afternoon at 3:30 on FoxSports2 (618 on DirecTV) is the Formula E race from Miami. Formula E is all electric powered formula body type cars. Talk about quiet............

For some odd reason I'm drawn to Formula E...I find it awesome...great racing, tight fights, love the pit stops where they change cars...it's just cool to see something like this is even possible
