Just wondering, but why is this kit cheaper then the other ones?

Economies of scale. Cheaper manufacturing costs and less margin needed due to volume.

The other kits seem really overbuilt. Every other "stage 1" turbo kit seems like it's just a few parts away from being a 400+whp monster. This one seems about right for modest goals since it retains the stock intake and stock fuel system. It's pretty slick being able to use silicone hoses to make all the complicated pipes too.

Its AVO's bread and butter. Turn key turbo kits for boxer engines. None of this is new to them, give or take, all the parts would be borrowed and tweaked from other kits and tuned specifically for this engine. Nothing wrong with that, this is a science and they know what does and doesnt work.

Other than the turbo and it's actuator (but not the bracket!), and misc. small fittings, everything was built specific to the kit. 100% of the fmic and it's hoses, the oil pump scavenger system/reservoir tank (except for the oil pump itself), exhaust manifold, turbo downpipe, all designed and manufactured for these two cars only.

But, hey - if you guys would rather pay more money for the kit, I'm happy to take it! I'm easy that way!

AVO with your included ecutek tune for 98ron fuel, was the car tuned with the American cat back? Just curious because most other countries have the nicer large tipped exhaust (might throw off a:f slightly?)

Really, I wish people will shutup about this "why is so cheap" crap. It's simple math... If you can make $2000 profit on 1 unit and you sell 10, you have made $20,000. However, if you make, say, $800 profit on 1 unit and you sell 300, that's $240, 000. It's good business that works for everyone.

Well, shows quality as far as i'm concerned. I had AVO parts on a Liberty wagon yrs ago and it never caused me any stress. Made my deposit to Lee today, so i'm looking forward getting it fitted and on the road!
