That's what I'd like the know more about. I was hoping they would cover that in the press conference, but it remained vague with 'increased performance with different differential gearing'.

It's not bad, just could be slightly better. Someone had a Photoshop pic at the beginning if the thread that was great. No mustache or droop. Add a splash of color to the interior, move the 86 badge to the fender garnish and we are good to go. I wouldn't trade up for it but it would make it an option if I had to do it again.

I doubt it because most of the complaints were that it felt too long. Only in 0-60 testing did it come up too short. But who knows... I guess I'd have to take it for another test drive. Still, I'd be surprised if they made it worse. And hopefully they managed to minimize or eliminate that darned torque dip! Although I am disappointed to not see a multi-stage intake so my hopes aren't too high for that.

These photos, in particular interior photos, seem to have been treated with heavy contrast enhancement. Probably to hide the greyish blandness of the new interior.

Just across the top of the grill. I guess I'm not a fan of the fake side vents either but it could be worse

Again. Wait till you see it in person, only a few has seen it and as one of the few I stand by the it looks good in person. So give it a chance, also I was told "more trims are possible in near future" so the one shown Here at the moment is basically a premium versus the BRZ spy shots which is a Limited. Speaking of a BRZ subaru has held it from NYIAS to show the impreza the BRZ will be shown possibly tomorrow. Stand by for confirmation on if a facelift one will show. Thanks tomorrow when I have more time I'll see if I can get better media, my team has already done a vid on the 86 and it will be uploaded later. thanks everyone for the gratitude it's my pleasure to bring you coverage as an event staff. thanks again.

Will the dealers update the ECU map when you service it? I think that little extra power that Toyota has added means that they had to retune and remap the new 86/BRZ, may help in that torque dip everyone dreads whatever it is.

I waited to comment until I saw pics. I still would want to see it sitting in front of me but overall it isn't as bad as I thought it would be. I won't miss the red thread interior. Looks weird on a lava. Don't care for the steering wheel buttons but tolerable. My biggest dislike is the circular badges on the fenders. Seems like it's trying too hard to be a Nissan Z.

One thing o wish I had was the back up camera that came on the 16s.it would ease
backing up in a shopping center. Little kids/pets are unpredictable.

Pretty sure it will, at least in the states. I think all 16 and up vehicles are required to have it now.
