OpenFlash Manager will not allow you to load up a ROM with CAL ID different than your original ROM. But ALL the ROMs, regardless of labelled CAL ID (700C, 900C, etc,) are all based upon the A01C ROM file. So you may see some disparity when comparing the CAL ID labelled in the file you loaded and the the CAL ID reported when your OFT queried your ECU (in ECU Info) function.

Ok, so right now ive loaded Stage1 A00C, so I should switch to A01C? It seems to have let me load it fine, so you mean it should not have?

OFM says a00c
tablet says a01c perfectly fine

all the tunes are based on the a01 fix anyway. It is idiot proof.

I'm planning to buy a Viper remote start + security system -- any idea if this and OFT will interfere with each-other? Will I be able to flash safely?

Please explain how choose integrated with factory components. Will you have to leave key in car to trick computer for automatic start?

I've never had one of these before but it's my understanding that you can get a bypass transponder that activates when you hit the remote start.

Do you need to carry original key for any purpose other than steering wheel unlock?

Interesting. I have the same set up. But because these alarms are integrated with the ecu. The. Alarm it self will sense if the car is in gear and won't start. Maybe it's the same with yours?

ive purposely started my car with the viper in gear and it does start. i still need the original key tho to prevent the wheel from locking....which has happened where i forget to insert the key to the ignition after i remote start it, as soon as i turn the wheel, it would lock on me...

Yep. Stuck in Athens 30 minutes from here... which, ironically, is where I was playing soccer this morning.

I was looking at the TSB for Idle Stability, which refers to "engine idle RPM decrease / instability when the A/C system cycles off".

I have noticed that going on - actually dad noticed it the other day - but I don't consider it a major issue because I've had other cars that acted similar when the A/C cycles on/off.

Anyway, the solution appears to be a reflash of the computer. So...

My question is: Does the OFT flash make any change to the idle stability issue? Whether it does or not, it seems pointless to go get the reflash at the dealer if I'm just going to be flashing again with the OFT.

Or maybe I just don't have any idea what I'm even asking... which is certainly possible. LOL.

Thanks.
