Body work is very time consuming but I am definitely enjoying the process and learning as I go.

I have some minor sanding of the glaze coat on the ps rear quarter to do as I finished the bulk of the sanding today. I hope to have the wheel well prepped for the 3M undercoat tomorrow or Wednesday.

On Friday and Saturday I hope to have the rear quarters primed, painted and clear coated. Then I will be where I want to be... fitting, securing, and molding!

pics coming soon..

Today I hope to scuff-up, wipe down, and primer my driver side rear wheel well.

I may get to masking off and the application of some 3M undercoating too.

I received my high build primer spray can today so I should be on track to primer, paint, and clear my rear quarters by the end of the week.

37J paint was purchased at www.scratchwizard.net

Then I'll be onto the part of the process I've been looking forward to the most.... fitting, securing, and molding!

In case anyone is wondering... I'm using the following products for my rear quarters...

So far I only have experience with the duplicolor white primer and 3M rubberized undercoating. I have been happy with the performance of both. Soon I'll give my opinion on the others.

I just hope the scratchwizard spray paint is half-ass decent. If so, I may use it for covers and other such projects down the line.

Is that the paint matched stuff? If so, I bought some in D4S to paint my fender garnish, and it turned out great.

3M Undercoat applied! Tomorrow I'll primer, paint, and clear the driver side rear quarter!

Like I stated previously, I did want to seal up the rear quarters well... and I could have without taking it as far as I did... but I took the opportunity to practice my body work. This was my first time doing body work. I'll take the rest of my body work to the next level though...because it definitely will be visible.

Any low or high spots still present will just be. I just need to seal the paint well. The quarters will not be seen anyways...

Can't wait to begin final fitments!

So what is the plan? Painting the bodywork that will be covered by the wide body kit, or are you trying to rattle can paint the whole fender to eventually blend it in?

I'm going to rattle can paint the rear quarters... because I didn't want to seal it like other have and because it gives me practice for when I mold the rear overfenders.
