I asked 3 questions of my salesperson just before I drove the car off the lot. Q1: Is the car alarm enabled? It is off by default from the factory. A1: Yes it is enabled from "DPI" that way. It is not "off" by default, we do not sell cars without an alarm being enabled. Q2: Is hill assist enabled? It also is off by default from the factory. A2: It is enabled also (with a bit of confused look on his face). Q3: Is the passenger door lock unlocked when I unlock the driver side door? A3: You may have to turn that on yourself. Q4: How do I turn on the dash "gear indicator", it does not appear to be on? I have seen in pictures where the dash has an indicator right in this area. A4: What? (Fumbles with the buttons on my steering wheel) I dunno. None of these options were on! Consult the manual if you have questions, the dealership doesn't know this car from his Keurig coffee maker at home. Don't ask me why I know he has one...please. I'm done with being mad about my dealership and salesperson, just want to make sure everyone figures this stuff out before they are handed . |

I probably missed it in the manual so far but random question: do your guys' windows seem to re-seal to the top or go up a little when you shut the doors?

Thats normal. Its a function of the frameless windows. I'm sure theres another thread about it somewhere in the forums, but most cars with frameless windows do that little up/down dance.

Unfortunately, the spokes of the wheels interfere with the 4 piston Brembo Calapers on the front of the PP equipped car. From what I can tell, it looks like 8mm spacers, or at a bare minimum (seems a little tight) 5mm spacers would be necessary to clear the Brembos with the 8" wheels. If my math is correct, 5mm spacers with a +35 offset (stock is +48 offhset) = 18mm further out (more scrub radius). From my calculations (I could not mount a tire and set the car down), the outer edge of the rim would extend about 1/4" (poke) beyond the fender directly above the center cap of the wheel (stock on the PP Wheel is about 3/4" (tuck) in, or inside the fender). On the 9" wheels, the spokes of the wheels interfere with the 4 piston Brembo Calipers, although not as much as on the 8" wheels. From what I can tell, it looks like 5mm spacers, or at a bare minimum (seems a little tight) 3mm spacers would be necessary to clear the Brembos. If my math is correct, 3mm spacers with a +35 offset = 16mm further out (more scrub radius). From my calculations, the outer edge of the rim would extend about 5/8" (poke) beyond the fender directly above the center cap of the wheel. Also, please note that without a tire mounted, and the car sitting on the ground, I can't be sure about interference with the PP springs. The rear 2 piston calipers did not interfere with the 8" or 9" wheel and would not require any spacers. From my calculations, the outer edge of the 8" rim would be in about a 1/4" (tuck) inside the fender directly above the center cap of the wheel, and the outer edge of the 9" rim would extend about 1/4" (poke) beyond the fender directly above the center cap of the wheel (stock on the PP Wheel is about 1" (tuck) in, or inside the fender). I had intended on taking pictures, but got caught up in all the excitement and calculations. Sorry! Let me know what you think. Last edited by BRZ FAMILY FUN; 03-26-2017 at 03:04 AM. It's killing me knowing that my car is at the dealer 5 minutes away but I can't go pick it up. Back in town but they're closed today. Maybe tomorrow, but more likely Wednesday.
