Hope its not even close to what I was offered for an upgrade to it. At that point you within a few hundred of SBD pricing...

I believe SBD is at about $3k . I honestly wouldn't mind if this approached that amount. Incredibly easy install alone is worth several hundred $ in my opinion. SBD, or any turbo setup for that matter, is a fairly difficult install.

As long as this upgrade is a fairly nice improvement, I think $2.5k isn't too bad.

Sure that's true if minimal performance is all you want. If I had to guess I think this would be like a 20whp increase since it increases boost up top by a psi or so.

Personally for me e85 is a pain to run all the time. I want ~300whp on 93 pump gas. Right now I'm about 230whp on e85 according to e.t. calculators.

I'll be happy to answer some questions, but the first 8 mins answer a lot.

So many questions. Can I replace the motor on a V1 kit for the 5kw or do I need a new controller and compressor?

There is not an upgrade path for this system. Everything has been changed or modified. The new controller is bigger due to the power requirements. So no swap outs on this one.

Great video Sojhinn, awesome work!

The new battery array setup is amazingly simple to wire. Full install even with 1 person shouldn't go past two hours with basic hand tools.

The new 2 stage activation switch really is great as well. I was running the procede before and i was worried I would be taking a step back. Once you get the activation just right it really is smooth.

I have my first point set at 61-65% with the second being at 97%. You can find out what% you are by turning the phantom system off, turn your car to "ON" but not running. Then connect up the OFT and read throttle position.

Its worth noting that if you put the first activation point below 50% you wont have as smooth of a driving experience. During trial and error I had the point set right around there and the system would activate even when i was blipping the throttle during take off in 1st gear. This can cause the engine to stumble as the airflow in chokes out the engine with the throttle plate still mostly closed.

This new 5kw system has amazing kick, it is nearly identical to the first TQ300 i was running which just goes to show how far the system has come.

I concur the new system is so much fun to drive. And some of you saw my logs.
