I guess all the F1 cars using KERs didn't get the memo about how useless it was for the track.

Nitrous is useless for stoplight racing.

If you want to do it PROPERLY, you will need electronics to make sure that it only activates at certain RPM windows, WOT, etc.

Factor in a bottle heater, and wanting to make sure that the bottle is properly warmed up... you can't really have a nitrous system thats ready to go at a moments notice.

Electronic supercharger makes a lot more sense, especially with the monster RC/hobby motors available and newer battery technology.

I have my reasons for going with my current FI kit which I won't clutter this thread up with, but I really think electronic superchargers are viable forms for forced induction... and it will just get better with more efficient/powerful motors and batteries.

Sure enough, Fenton's stock torque is about 15% below what others are showing below 4000 rpm, and about 10% below what others are showing between 4000-6000 rpm and then about 12% below through 7000 rpm.

Plugging this info into spreadsheet it's easy to see that the eCharger should be able to produce a peak of ~205 lb-ft of torque @ 4750 rpm below 1,000' MSL. 90% of this value (~185 lb-ft) is available between 3000 and 6000 rpm. Peak horsepower (TQ x RPM / 5252) of 230 should occur at 6750 rpm.

What's most exciting about this (to me at least) is that this setup has a Clark Kent / Superman personality; mild mannered most of the time but able to leap tall buildings when required.

When can I buy this? Seriously, please take my money.

The only place I don't see the electric charger working 100 percent is circuit racing.

This thing is perfect for dd and I would say would be fine for autocross as well. Going wide open the batteries last about a minute and a half. On the streets you never can do that and even on autocross you are partial throttle more than full throttle.

The other thing is if you just go 80 percent throttle you have the exact perfmance as stock... Leave the juice for the straights and you might not even do half bad on a road course

The issue there is in autocross and anything with turns, you aren't just flat footing everywhere, there is more 60-80% throttle than anything else.

That's perfect for this system then. Only use the charger on the small straight where you need it. Everywhere else 100 to 160 hop should be good. Thanks for the tips

I love one way thinkers.. You think this is useless and all your blah blah blah I haven't read everything.. First this shouldn't be 2k, but even is it is closer to he 2k then the 1600$

Let's add up some numbers, Ark exhuast 1000-1200$ , injen intak 300$, rev work headers 650$ no tune 185-195 hp

This electric charger, 1600-2000$... 205+hp 80+ft lb in th dip.. Yeah.. This is such a waste..

I have a turbocharged and a supercharged car... I'm merely stating that the gas is an identical competitor to this as it an on/off booster which is used very situationally and completely different characteristics than a s/c or turbo.

This also falls in the same boat as water/meth. It would be great in addition to a full time f/I system; the same way it's being considered for f1 and BMW. It isn't a replacement. Kinda like how beating off isn't a replacement for actually getting laid.

So you're still getting 120-130hp everywhere at 80% throttle except for 100 feet of straight? Sounds perfect for cost/gain....

Other f/I is getting 200whp at 80% and 250+ at wot. (Except for poor innovate)
