And if that doesn't work out he could always blast them to his Mars Colony as gifts to resident Borgs.

he has some very valid points about the stated price/features.
have you ever noticed that companies almost always promise new tech to be 2 years out? i don't like how everyone is taking all this stuff as written in stone. it's a concept at best. typical gestation period for any vehicle to go through design, testing, and certification/crash testing is 5 years. tesla really hasn't bucked that trend with any of their other cars. i mean, they've dropped it a little by making first-buyers beta testers, it'll be interesting how that will affect them as they start to being their shift into the mainstream vehicle segments instead of the luxury first-adopter segments they began in. A production F-350 4x4 with the 6.7L turbo diesel has 475 hp/1,050 ft. lbs. torque that might get the job done in low range.

tbh though, I find it more reminiscent of SNES mode 7 graphics than of anything from the 2000's... |

I've thought about dropping a deposit myself but honestly don't think I want an early example of anything Tesla. Yea, I think the Tesla engineers are once again scrambling to meet something Musk just decided would happen to hell with the mechanics. That's cool that he can do that and can accomplish it most of the time. I respect him for that, just wish he had a little more of Job's eye for design.

Apparently Ford backed out of the challenge.

I just ran through the Ford configurator. F350 4x4 with the diesel and rectractable bed cover is $55,825 list. For about $400 more you could configure it to run on Propane or CNG. You might want to add the $280 Live-Drive power takeoff Provision.

I don't know if Cybertruck models differ, but the next to top line F-350 King Ranch like you described is about $60K. The top line can go over $80K. What is the price break and content of Cybertruck models or are they monospec? |
