Illustration of the hose routing with our breather tank:

The left port on intake manifold is where the line goes to the OEM pcv - an upgraded pcv needs to be fitted in that line.

Based on Paul's reply as well I assume you meant the hose I pictured. I will look into acquiring and installing a check valve.

Personally, I would install the check valve in the hose that goes from the back of the intake manifold to the center of your Crawford AOS right under Perf part of Performance. Then you can leave the line going to the PCV alone.

Exactly what I was trying to describe to him earlier. My question is where to put the oil reservoir breather. AVO's diagram does not show it, supporting my theory that they run it straight to the oil cap. Should I attempt to do something along those lines, or tee it into the crank breather the Crawford already uses as a drain back? Will that drain enough to support the overflow AVO is warning us about under extended high rpm conditions?

I second this.

I believe the reservior breather tees into the breather or PCV line?

I can try. Something tells me that run is going to end up being made entirely of hose clamps. I don't know how big check valves usually are but it's only 5" of PCV hose sticking on to a couple of bungs that are probably 1" each.

They're quite small, just make sure they're pointed with flow being allowed to go from PCV to Intake Manifold

Is that the kinda thing my local auto parts store is gonna have lying around? Browsing the internet gives me all kinds of check valves unrelated to vacuum system in a car.

Thanks that helped me get the right keywords lol. The one way part was pretty mandatory.

I'm pretty sure 3/8" is the right size, you may want to double check before ordering

When I picked up additional PCV hose at NAPA they said it was 1/2" when I showed them what came with the Crawford. With a tight clamp the 1/8" difference might not matter but I'll try to find 1/2" first.
