Also, I've got a Perrin intake and tube. Will those be ok to use with the STG 1 tune?

TIA.
Might be worth adding in Perrin supplied scaling values for MAF, assuming you have 2.75' perrin intake, the 3" scaling are arround somewhere as well, or just emial perrin and they will supply them.

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...9&postcount=44

See previous post by "milhouse" for Perrin CAI scalling values

Make sure you have a copy of your original (unedited) ROM in case of problems

1. Open up your tune ROM in Romraider
2.select "intermediate" or above user level
3. select "mass air flow/engine load" folder on left hand side
4. select "MAF sensor scaling" table
5. copy in the volts and air flow values in as supplied by perrin
6. save
7. flash

Log and test

OpenFlash Tablet

What is the warranty on the tablet itself? I plan to keep my BRZ for many years, but what happens a few years from now if I'm on a non-stock flash and the tablet is dead or stolen? Am I just stuck on whatever ECU setting I have at that time, or can my original ECU setting be restored?

I did a search on this, but when I search for openflash tablet warranty, I just get stuff on how this would affect our warranties with the car.
@shiv@vishnu?

Weird. Was seeing different info in downloads section of your site earlier.
When I plug in tablet and check Ecu info it says B01C yet in open flash manager it says B00C. It only lets me write B00C bin files to tablet and thus Ecu. Why the different readings?

The B series OTS maps are all based on the B01C rom. But you need to load a version of that ROM that is compatible with your original rom (B00C). What you are seeing is normal

Thanks. Just flashed the stage one 1.58 B001 bin. Took for quick spin and felt great. Almost got me in trouble. If I want to try e85 on stock FR-S I can run stage 2el e85 tune correct?

Noticed no LC. Do i need to activate that via ROM Raider. I am a complete noob when it comes to tuning. Is there anywhere on theh webz you would suggest going to learn?

I believe he ahs a video on youtube, but it's really quite easy. I would say download the software and go to town step by step, using the video first.

Is my OFT put together upside down?
I noticed in the video the cable plugs into the top but mine plugs into the bottom.
The bottom also has the side with the bigger lip. Seems to make it a little more difficult pressing the buttons on the bottom of the screen.

Never mind... I have now gone through the options and see the screen rotate lol

Thanks.

That is possibly true, but I had a first gen ipod touch lose wifi after 2 years and then fail to start altogether after 4 years; a second gen ipod touch fail to hold a battery charge after 2 years; a navigon gps device fail to sync with PC after 2 years; etc. My iPad 2 is in pretty good shape 2 years later, but I don't trust that it will outlive my car.

Quick question, if I have stock headers but intake and exhaust. Do I go stage 2 EL map? or just stage 1?

edit: think it's stage 1.

Keep your original ROM backed up. If OFT dies I'm sure there's a way to "initialize" one from a ROM rather than the car.
