The difference between a true muscle car and one that isn't.

That list makes me laugh
you're not the only one. LFA, Z and Vette are definitely not GT cars. GT-R is arguable. GT-R is tuned to run on the ring with stiff suspension and computer aids to give the best time possible, and that's not a purpose of a GT car.

Those cars can be considered GT cars though.

The LFA is luxurious, heavy, and doesn't offer a manual
The 370Z is considered heavy by most and can come in a GT model but it can also be voided of those features.
The GT-R has it in the name.

But all those cars favor Sport over being a regular GT so I call them GT/Sports cars.

If I remember correctly, LFA is about 10kg heavier than Z with all the luxury features it has. If LFA belongs to the list so do all cars from Aston Martin, Maserati, Lamborghini, Ferrari, and Audi R8. It's arguable that only a FR can be a GT car. What about 911 Carrera? And where is Rolls Royce Phantom Coupe in the list?

Any explanation on Vette? I call the list bullshit.

^You prove the point I was trying to make. These days any sports car can have GT tendencies because automakers want to offer conveniences to make their customers more happy and comfortable.

Ferrari's are more luxurious and offer DCT on 75% of there models
Lamborghini is the same as Ferrari
Aston Martin specializes in GT sports coupe from forever
Lotus will offer more GT-esque cars in the future instead of there pure sports cars they offer now
Porsche is doing a lot of the same things but keeping the manual gearbox alive though.

You wouldn't want to call either Aston Martin Zagato or Ferrari 458 italia a GT car.

Doesn't mean GT in GT86 is the same meaning as GT, no? GT in GT-R stands for Gran Turismo Racer.
