Sanded to 2000 grit and polished with Flitz metal polish to get an idea what it will look like polished. I still need to finish polishing it using white rouge and a buffing wheel... Should really be blinging soon!

If you gonna paint it, make the red manifold chrome, if you gonna keep it chrome, keep red manifold red... but that's just me.

I'm going to keep the cover polished but I'm considering making several to sell in which I will either leave them prepped for paint or paint them standard colors...I am not so sure I would polish them though.

I'm still looking into the logistics of this whole operation... plus I'm thinking I will sell door pull strap hardware kits and fully completed door strap pull kits... basically, I'm thinking about reproducing a number of my mods... the biggest hangup is whether or not I can find the time to reproduce such things... we'll see...

Gotcha. I don't wanna be those those strict mod or anything, but if you gonna start sell those cool parts, make sure to become a vendor or you'll get banned.

Due to photobucket and other stuff happened, how did back seat delete working out? I know it's finished (from the pic of it), but can't see any detail pics.

Gotcha... just exploring the possibility and how to go about it at the moment... Not sure when I'll make a decision on whether to go forward with it.

I have posted several new rear seat delete pics since the whole photobucket debacle...

My custom '17 Red Intake Manifold Cover prototype is (for) now complete. I'm pretty happy with the results... looks so good polished! Adds another layer of detail to my engine bay.

I really thought it being polished would be to much chrome but I'm surprisingly liking it

Ok... since I have three prototypes... one of which is currently installed... I started working on finishing the other two. Since I cut the front panels differently than my third prototype, I came up with a creative way to make the remaining two have basically the same fitment...

Check out it... Japanese flag with rays (I know that this flag version has a negative meaning to some, sorry in advance if it bothers you) but creatively it works.

It will install over the front face of my intake manifold cover... the cover will be painted white... the rising sun plate will be painted anodized red... hopefully it turns out as cool as I have imagined it!

Woah, that's really neat. It would be kinda cool if you could somehow do an embossed print of that on the manifold cover.

Since I didn't have the cover with me at work yesterday my blind template was off... here is a more accurate template.

So I've been jumping around from one project to another lately... I finally got back on my Rising Sun '17 Intake manifold cover... I just need to linenup the throttle body cutout left and right then make the cut then make a few other adjustments and verifications.

Then it will be time to paint... white... probably a pearlescent white and a anodized red.

Also, I finally decided to upgrade my DSLR from a Nikon D90 to a D750. I sold my old camera to my sister then picked up both the D750 and a 50mm 1.8 Nikon lens.

My picture game will be stronger! Look for better images of my 86 soon!
